Could the brake line lock be used on a race Sprite in place of a hand brake?

The line lock will not apply pressure to the brake it will either lock the brakes on or off.

You could apply the brakes then us the line lock to keep the brake pressure on. The down side of a hydraulic hand brake is that as brakes cool the fiction in the brakes can be lost, whereas a cable handbrake stretches it is able to keep the pressure on.

A line lock cannot be used on the road.
