Is this Quick Release Steering boss suitable for the bolt on type steering columns? I have a 1998 Westfield with I think an Allegro/Mini steering column which has a bolt holding the steering wheel on the splined shaft.
This boss does not fit directly to any column, it would bolt to
the 6 holes on a Momo (70mm PCD) boss and then to the wheel, so it would
make an existing boss arrangement about 2.75" deeper.
Other than welding something on to the column there is no direct fit
boss that offers a quick release, if you did fancy welding you would
need something like this:
