I am running a Peugeot 205 GTI 1.6 in a BTRDA rally cross series. My exhaust noise level is 106db. New regs state that I must be below 100. If I fit this unit before my black box will it reduce the noise level to below 100db. I currently run straight from the manifold to the back box.
It is impossible to predict what the out come is going to be from fitting these inserts. Ideally if you have a bit of time before your event putting another silencer in to the system would be a better solution and less restrictive than the insert. It is quite a lot for a simple insert to take off though.
I would use the inserts and muffler add ons as last ditch attempts to get through a noise test rather than a permanent solution.
